With his entrepreneurial spirit, Kal’s leadership provides vision and strategic direction for Crestpoint. His focus on measured growth has guided Crestpoint to become a leader in the hospitality industry. For almost two decades Kal has managed capital construction and development projects in various real estate related ventures, and serves as an expert in the hospitality industry. Prior to founding Crestpoint Companies, Kal co-founded 1st Inspection Services – a franchised residential and commercial real estate inspection company. He studied marketing and management at the University of Oklahoma.
As an accomplished management professional, Jed leads the operations for Crestpoint. He focuses on profitability through revenue management and expense control, adherence to brand standards, property maintenance, and guest satisfaction. His determination for efficiency and constant improvement keeps the Crestpoint team moving in a positive direction. Jed started as a junior manager at a resort hotel, and has successfully managed an array of facilities. He earned his Bachelors from James Madison University and Masters from the University of Virginia.
Craig’s professional background, coupled with his experience and knowledge, ensures Crestpoint achieves its high set of standards. He provides oversight of commercial development, capitalization/valuation, Investor/Bank relations and overall business development. Craig’s previous work in the real estate industry includes construction, value analysis, finance, lending, inspection and consulting/expert witnessing. He is a former President for the American Association of Certified Appraisers, an Officer/Trustee for the Appraisal Foundation, an NAIFA Honorary Member and paneled the development of the “ANSI Square Footage Measurement” directive through the NAHB. He is the Co- founder of 1st Inspections services, and is widely known as an Instructor/Mentor teaching with Hondros College campuses from Cincinnati to Cleveland in the areas of Real Estate, Insurance, Appraisal, Mortgage Lending and Property Inspection since 1982. During this timeframe, Craig also presented Professional Industry Seminars— in over 170 cities worldwide— which currently affords him an “invaluable network” of top industry leaders who have attained vast professional experience to be a personal resource of additional knowledge.
Over 20 years of experience in training and management allows Michelle to provide support to the Executive Management team. She manages and organizes projects and initiatives to streamline and ensure follow-through and continuous improvement. Her efforts allow the management team to focus on strengthening and growing the company. Michelle studied Business Administration at Wilmington College of Ohio.
Michol is responsible to assist hotel General Managers & Directors of Sales with operations; focusing on room revenue, sales, and profitability through data analysis and continuous improvement of processes and procedures. Michol is a member of the National Association of Realtors, Ohio Association of Realtors, and the Cincinnati Area Board of Realtors. In addition, Michol has a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Ecology/Fashion Merchandising from Hampton University, post-graduate work at The Ohio State University and numerous certifications in the spa and cosmetic service industries.
Anna oversees the finance department for Crestpoint. With a high degree of detail, she manages all accounting functions and internal corporate controls. Anna is also responsible for property level accounting, invoicing, tax compliance, investment management, and cost accounting. Anna has a dual Bachelors/Masters degree in Economics and Management from Railway University in Samara, Russia.
Wendy takes great pride in making sure that our corporate office runs smoothly, making sure our administrative and office staff have the assistance necessary to executing effectively, working with vendors and suppliers, planning events and assisting in capital purchasing for the companies properties as well as the renovation projects that Crestpoint is involved in. Wendy has a Master Degree in Education and has served over 21 years in the Army with a strong background in logistics and as a staff officer.
Yvonne assists the operations and development teams with project coordination and implementation. She also spearheads the research efforts to help improve all areas of operations including revenue generation, cost savings, accounting, public relations, sales and marketing. Yvonne also assists the department heads and regional managers with short term projects.
Poonam assists Crestpoint in defining Human Resource policies and managing HR practices for legal compliance. She is a dynamic, results-oriented recruiting professional with commitment to client services. With a proven track record of successfully locating, identifying, and recruiting top candidates, Poonam ensures Crestpoint employs top talent in the hospitality industry.
Lina designs and implements the technology systems required to improve Crestpoint’s competitiveness, focusing on delivery and instruction of metrics based management. Lina has extensive project management experience and a keen ability to translate technical process into practical business solutions.
Jamie started in the hospitality industry as a Night Auditor in Elizabethtown, KY. Over a short period of time he earned a promotion to Front Office Manager where he continued to progress. With a well-planned strategy and help from his friends, he realized his true potential. While working as General Manager of a limited service hotel he earned his Certified Hospitality Supervisor designation. Jamie is responsible to assist hotel General Managers with operations; focusing on adherence to hotel and Brand standards, oversee FF&E, routine and long-term maintenance, quality and safety. With hard work and dedication, he believes the sky is the limit.
Harish grew up in Youngstown, Ohio and then went to Northwestern State University in Louisiana where he studied engineering and management and then began his career in the hospitality industry with a passion that shows through every project. Harish has more than 21 years of maintenance and project management experience in the hotel industry starting with small independent motels early in his career to large nationally branded hotels. Harish is responsible to manage and inspect commercial development or renovation projects, and oversee larger maintenance projects in hotel properties.
As an independent contractor, Avanti supports Crestpoint’s public relations and social media efforts. Her fifteen plus combined years of experience in journalism, broadcast news, social media and public relations helps bring Crestpoint into the newest phase of our company’s development and positioning. She has earned her Masters degree in public communication from American University in Washington, D.C. and her Bachelors in Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Her past work experience includes working for Dateline NBC, Voice of America world news, State of Maryland communications, and dozens of other independent firms, companies and individuals.
